Am I going to take someone seriously who just spams my fax machine? No… in fact, we have no HR people in our local office, so it’s a waste of time and paper.
In business/management consulting, I’d expect a stronger job candidate to use interpersonal skills to contact someone at the organization, know something about the company, and try to be alert and aware to potential jobs that are posted or ask about those that are not.
I’d rather hire a person with those skills than someone who can pay someone to spam my fax.
I recently posted my resume and contact information on job.com but then discovered that they want me to pay a fee. Has anyone had positive experiences with posting their resume on a job recruiting website? Does it provide better results than just applying for jobs from want ads? I would pay if it would lead to a good job opportunity…
I don’t want any advertisers replying to this post if your site is requiring me to use PAYPAL or any form of payment in order to work. I’m looking for something legit–no scams–no phony links—just the real deal. Anything that involves using my home computer or telephone would be great. I’m a college student, but my living situation requires me to be at home outside of classes.
