There is NOTHING like this being circulated within any branch of government…I was just wondering how you would think the US would be affected on a social/cultural/economic basis if something like this happened, and whether or not you think Americans could make such an adjustment.

we would have no choice but to go on. we would buy bikes and very quickly there would be businesses for rick-shaws. most work would be done by computer and people who did labor would live near their work.
I keep reading questions like what if Martial law was imposed, what if the New World Order declared they were in charge, etc. But no one seems to address the subject of enforcing these things.
If automobiles were banned, everyone would say “says who”.
And…what possible good could come from banning cars?
I think American should do it theirselves!!! Band them for atleast a week …work …gas…and all just stay at home and it would put and end to alot of the government crap and high prices! American’s need to prove they are strong and can take back over what belongs to them…our government!
STAND UP AMERICA!
In a hypothetical kind of way it would be a considerable slowdown. Food sources would become scarce. If a fire broke out in a house that was a foot and a half from it’s neighbor you’d have entire blocks on fire.
But obesity would be getting better.
A lot of people would get arrested and public transportation would be overwhelmed. In many places there isn’t adequate public transportation anyway. You’d see more people walking and riding bikes, but it wouldn’t be a happy place.
I dont think most could.
buy a horse and carriage
i wouldn’t be able to get to work
