    Not a good career choice now, with the US auto companies on the edge of bankruptcy.

  2. Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical.
    A 4 year B. Eng. degree from a university is usually the minimum requirement for professional license as an engineer. A 3 year diploma from a college will only get you a technician / technologist position.

    Mechanical(structures, fluids, aerodynamics,..) , Civil, Electrical, Computer engineering; software engineering; Chemical, industrial, electronics, and more..

    Automotive is generic word for this sort of engineering.
    But, haven’t you heard the news? All the car companies in the US are going bust!
